A person who had come to attend the final rites of his brother who died of snakebite was killed after being bitten by a snake in his sleep, police stated on Thursday.
Govind Mishara (22) attended the final rites of his brother Arvind Mishra (38) held in Bhawanipur village on Wednesday, Circle Officer Radha Raman Singh instructed PTI. The brother died of snakebite on Tuesday.
“Govind Mishara was killed after being bitten by a snake in his sleep. One of many kin of the household, Chandrashekar Pandey (22), who was in the identical home, was additionally bitten by a snake,” Mr Singh stated.
“Mr Pandey was rushed to a hospital, the place his situation stays essential,” the official added.
Each Govind Mishara and Chandrashekhar Pandey had come to the village from Ludhiana to attend the final rites of Arvind Mishra, the police stated.
Senior medical and administrative officers visited the village on Thursday. Native MLA Kailash Nath Shukla met with the grieving household and warranted them of assist.
Mr Shukla requested native officers to take measures to forestall such incidents sooner or later.
