In BJP’s Bengal Killings Report, Mamata Banerjee Is “Mafia”, She Responds

West Bengal Violence: Six girls and two kids have been burnt alive by a mob on March 2.

Bengal is within the grip of “mafia” led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress and legislation and order has crashed within the state, a BJP “fact-finding group” has mentioned on eight individuals burnt alive in Birbhum district final week.

The killings in village Bagtui have been the results of “state-sponsored extortion, goonda tax, cut-money and tolabaji”, the BJP report mentioned, referring to phrases used for bribe-taking by Bengal’s ruling social gathering leaders. The rivalry over bribe quantities between the beneficiaries was one more reason, it mentioned.

“Native residents have abandoned their houses fearing a risk to their life and property,” the report claimed, recommending that our bodies just like the Nationwide Human Rights Fee and the Nationwide Fee for Ladies go to the village and arrange confidence-building measures to convey the villagers again.

Six girls and two kids have been locked of their houses and burnt alive by a mob on March 22 at village Bogtui close to Rampurhat city, in what was believed to be retaliation after an area Trinamool Congress chief, Bhadu Sheikh, was killed in a crude bomb assault. Charred our bodies have been discovered a day later, principally belonging to at least one household.

The BJP group mentioned Mamata Banerjee determined to go to the village solely after the BJP group had already reached Kolkata. Due to the Chief Minister’s “pressured go to”, the group was stopped by Trinamool “goons” bent on assaulting the fact-finding group.

“Not even a single officer or constable” was seen and nobody got here to the rescue of the fact-finding group once they have been attacked,” mentioned the panel report, including that makes an attempt to contact senior law enforcement officials failed.

Mamata Banerjee “condemned” the BJP group’s report and mentioned such reviews “interfered with investigations” and derailed them.

“These are politically motivated reviews. I condemn this angle of the BJP and the central authorities. When an investigation is on, there shouldn’t be any interference from any social gathering. It’s an absolute misuse of energy. That is unhealthy, vindictive and biased angle. Does BJP suppose solely they are going to keep on this nation,” the Chief Minister mentioned to reporters.
